Legendary golfer Greg Norman to promote Vietnamese coffee

Local coffee and dairy producer NutiFood Nutrition Food JSC and legendary golfer Greg Norman on March 20 signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) in HCMC to promote the Vietnamese coffee culture and NutiFood coffee products to the world.

Both parties will establish a joint venture named Greg Norman and NutiFood in the United States, with its headquarters located in New York.

NutiFood will be responsible for the entire process of research, production and distribution of coffee products, while Norman will issue the copyright and license agreement for the joint venture to use his brand name, images and logos with his name on the coffee products produced by NutiFood.

The joint venture, in which NutiFood will hold a 70% stake, will open a chain coffee store with the Greg Norman and NutiCafe brand name in Vietnam and other Asian countries, before expanding to the United States to attract international customers.

Tran Thanh Hai, chairman of the NutiFood board, said that bringing the Vietnamese coffee culture to the world and helping boost the value of Vietnamese coffee beans was the company’s main goal.

Last year, when NutiFood launched the NutiCafe product to the market, the company took the first step in increasing the value of the coffee beans and gradually reaching out to the world.

“Thanks to technology, we have successfully packaged Vietnamese iced milk coffee, a unique drink for international visitors in Vietnam,” he noted.

Norman currently owns a global group listing tens of companies focused on various sectors such as garments, interior design, real estate, golf course design and wines. His brand is recognized across the world, with over 100 golf course designs, global real estate collections, award-winning wine brands and golf-inspired costumes.

In Vietnam, Norman designed three golf courses, including the Ho Tram golf course, ranked 35th out of the 100 best golf courses in the world.
