Vietnam realty conglomerate wins two prizes at International Property Awards

Vietnamese real-estate developer Vingroup has bagged top prizes in two categories at the 2016 International Property Awards on Monday with their iconic tower and luxurious urban community projects.

The Vingroup-developed Landmark 81 tower, an 81-storey skyscraper under construction in Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City, was named ‘Best Residential High-Rise Development Asia Pacific’ at the awards ceremony held in London.

The high-riser is part of its urban community project ‘Vinhomes Central Park’, which was also honored with the ‘Best Mixed-use Development Asia Pacific’ prize.

The two properties were appraised by a panel of 78 international judges over the course of 12 months before receiving the honor, according to the group’s announcement.

The International Property Awards are open to residential and commercial property developers from around the globe, and celebrate the achievements by companies operating in all sectors of the property and real estate industry.

The awards are split into regions covering Africa, Asia Pacific, Arabia, Canada, Caribbean, Central & South America, Europe, UK and USA.

Participants enter at their relevant national level, the highest-scoring winners of which are automatically entered into the overall International Awards, which ultimately determine the most qualified properties and companies for the top awards.
