Vientiane Centre shopping mall attracts more investors
The number of domestic and foreign companies opening businesses at the Vientiane Centre shopping mall has increased since the centre has demonstrated that it provides good services for customers and entrepreneurs.
Around 150 brands and retailers are selling their products at the shopping centre, Managing Director Mr Sombat Siriphonwitaya told local media on Wednesday at a thank you party.
He expressed admiration for the way the media, including newspapers, magazines, radio, television and social media, had been important partners in promoting activities and products at the shopping centre to the public.
Over the past year, the shopping centre has developed services and cooperation with various government organisations and the private sector to encourage more business operators to open outlets and persuade customers to shop at the centre, said Mr Sombat.
The shopping centre will encourage more retailers of Lao and foreign brands as well those in neighbouring countries to sell their products at the popular mall to inspire further customer interest, he added.
The Vientiane Centre is located on the site of the Nongchan marsh in Xaysettha district. It opened its doors in 2015 and offers something for every modern taste including high-class international brand-name products.
The shopping mall features a boutique supermarket, world famous brands of cosmetics, watches, fashions, jewellery, electronics, home appliances and furniture, as well as restaurants and a multiplex cinema.
The Vientiane Centre often holds activities such as big sales to attract customers.
The shopping centre is a joint development by the Yunnan Construction Engineering Group Company Limited and Krittaphong Group Company Limited, which set up the North Nong Chan Development and Commercial Centre Company., Ltd. to operate the project.
The shopping mall helps to boost economic development in Laos by attracting more foreign traders.
Vientiane is creating a colourful variety of shopping options that are sure to please both locals and foreign visitors.
Not so long ago there was a lack of attractive shopping options in the capital but now many shopping malls have opened and more are under construction.
A shopping development professional claimed Vientiane had the potential to become a centre for shopping in the region as the country shares borders with five nations - Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Myanmar and China.
If the planned development of more shopping malls goes ahead, Vientiane consumers will have even more options.
