Cambodia will chair LDC bureau at WTO

Cambodia has been selected to chair the Global Coordination Bureau of the Least Developed Countries (LDCs) next year, state-owned media outlet AKP reported yesterday.

The bureau operates under the World Trade Organization (WTO), which counts 36 LDCs as members out of its total 164 member nations, including Cambodia.

Bangladesh is the current chair of the LDC coordination bureau. In July, the World Bank reclassified Cambodia as a lower-middle income country, but the Kingdom is still considered an LDC under its criteria.
