Shares end higher this morning

Stocks rose in the moring with the highlight of seafood stocks which rose over 2.6 per cent.

 

Blue chips such as Vinamilk (VNM), Vingroup JSC (VIC), Hia Phát Group (HPG), Hoa Sen Group (HSG) and Masan Group (MSN) also experienced gaining.

Hong Huy Investment Services Joint Stock Company (HHS) kept gaining another 3 per cent with more than 5.2 million shares traded this morning.

Securities stocks of HCM City Securities Corporation (HCM), Sài Gin Securities Inc (SSI) and Bảo Việt Securities Company (BVS) also saw gains of nearly one per cent each.

Banking stock including the Sài Gon Thương Tin Commercial Bank (STB), the Asia Commercial Bank (ACB), the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Việt Nam (VCB) and Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MBB) also reported increase.

On the other hand, due to the down prices of oil in the world market, oil and gas stocks of PetroVietnam Gas Corp (GAS), PetroVietnam Drilling and Well Service Corp (PVD), PetroVietnam Technical Services Corp (PVS) and PetroVietnam Northern Gas Joint Stock Company (PVG) declined about 1.5 per cent each.

Foreign investors also focused on a stocks of HCM City Infrastructure Investment JSC (CII), CTCP GTNFoods (GTN), MBB and SSI.

Closing the morning, VN-Index increased 0.25 point, or 0.04 per cent to close at 631.51 points while the HNX-Index rose 0.16 per cent to end at 84.77 points. Trading volume reached over 116 million shares worth VND2 trillion (US$89 million) respectively.
