VIB prepares for continued success in the year ahead

The Vietnam International Commercial Joint Stock Bank witnessed a vigorous and substantial year of accelerated transformation in 2015.

The bank (VIB) reported that many exciting new initiatives and innovative activities are continually being implemented to help highlight VIB and differentiate it from other banks.

According to a VIB leader, by taking a consistent, balanced, and disciplined approach to the delivery of their corporate strategy, which focuses on the three pillars of Growth, Productivity, and Risk Management, VIB will continue to follow international-standard operational and management models to get closer to realising a vision of being “the most innovative and customer-centric bank of Vietnam”. Through this approach, VIB hopes to shape and promote a healthy banking industry in Vietnam.

For VIB, sustainable development is vital for the benefit of its customers as much as for the bank itself.

To this end, the bank launched many integrated promotional campaigns, such as “Golden moment” and “Fulfill your dream with VIB” in 2015.

With a stable and transparent pricing policy, the bank has helped customers proactively make their own borrowing and repayment plans to enjoy various benefits and focus on the more important things in life.

In addition, VIB has signed co-operation agreements with many different strategic partners to diversify its product and service portfolios and enable customers to make better plans today and for the future.

Most recently, VIB signed a ground-breaking, long-term and visionary strategic partnership with Prudential to exclusively distribute Prudential life insurance products in the local market. This will help bring about long-term and sustainable benefits to the bank’s customers.

VIB also launched a new and innovative digital banking strategy by developing the MyVIB mobile banking app, which has been widely praised for its convenience, security, and simplicity, and which has been hailed as the best digital banking app on the market.

In 2015, VIB launched a brand new website designed with a modern technology platform, fast processing speeds, a friendly interface, simple, useful information, and a high rate of interactivity with customers.

Specially, VIB also launched a new comprehensive product and pricing policy review, delivering some of the best and most customer-centric pricing in the market for both lending and deposit products for both existing and new customers.

Subsequently, VIB has been lauded by local and international organisations for its efforts and achievements through awards such as, “The bank with the highest credit strength ratings in Vietnam” by Moody’s, “The most outstanding bank with innovative products and services for MyVIB app” by the International Data Group (IDG), and most significantly the highly-coveted “Bank of the Year 2015” award from the Banker magazine in the UK, one of the most prestigious banking publications in the world.
