The HCM City Development Bank (HDBank) on January 18 announced its deposits have grown 19 per cent to over VNÐ82 trillion (US$3.7 billion).

Loans outstanding at the end of 2015 were VNÐ67.2 trillion ($3.1 billion), a 24.2 per cent rise.

Bad debts accounted for 0.97 per cent of loans.

With these results, HDBank remains one of the three joint stock banks to get an ‘A' grade from the State Bank of Viet Nam.

Also on the day the bank was awarded the Labour Medal, third class, for its contribution to the banking system in Viet Nam. This was the second such honour for the bank.

In another development, the bank donated VNÐ1.6 billion ($73,000) to charity to support disadvantaged people.
