Ha Noi Vietbuild exhibition opens

The International Vietbuild Exhibition was inaugurated in Ha Noi yesterday, and displayed products from the real estate, interior and exterior decoration, construction and building materials sectors, among others.

The event, jointly organised by the Ministry of Construction, agencies and localities, will conclude on November 15.

More than 400 local and foreign businesses are showcasing their products at the fair. It has attracted companies from 18 countries and territories such as South Korea, Japan, Mainland China, and Germany, apart from Australia, Switzerland, Spain, and Singapore.

In addition to the host country, the other nations taking part are Thailand, Sweden, Hong Kong, and France, in addition to Taiwan and Malaysia.

Vietbuild is expected to get the support and interest of consumers in the capital city and meet the demand of businesses on trade promotion, investment, and exchange, in addition to economic co-operation.

Chairman of the Viet Nam Real Estate Association Nguyen Tran Nam said the stream of capital pouring into real estate projects had increased rapidly in recent times. The high number of successful transactions had reinforced his belief in a sustainable and long-term development of this market. This was also a key factor to develop relevant areas such as construction materials and interior and exterior decoration.

Speaking at the exhibition, Chairman of Hoa Sen Group Le Phuoc Vu said his group was seeking opportunities to expand production in the future.

The group's steel products had occupied about 40 per cent of the steel sheet market share and nearly 20 per cent of the steel pipe market share. It has targeted a productivity of 2 million tonnes per year and become a leading supplier and distributer of construction material in Southeast Asia in the future.
