Amway Viet Nam opens second factory

Amway Viet Nam Company Ltd yesterday inaugurated its second US$25 million plant in Viet Nam, showing the company's long-term commitments in the country.

Attending the grand opening, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Tran Tuan Anh said the second factory had consolidated the leading position in direct-selling service of Amway in the Vietnamese market.

"The ministry will create favourable conditions for foreign investors, including Amway Viet Nam for the purpose of turning the country into a model of successful development and integration," he said.

Located in the Viet Nam - Singapore Industrial Park II in southern Binh Duong Province, the 55,000 sq. m facility will produce the company's Nutrilite vitamins and dietary supplement brand with two production lines of 23,280,000 product capacity.

Part of its ongoing US$332 million manufacturing expansion globally, the Binh Duong plant is one of six new facilities that Amway has opened in 2015.

Amway Viet Nam is operating two factories in the country.

"The opening of our second factory is our commitment to the continued growth of Amway Viet Nam in this country," said Steve Van Andel, Amway Group chairman.
