Ha Tinh inks five cooperation deals in Germany

Central Ha Tinh province signed five economic cooperation deals with German partners at an investment promotion conference held at the Viethaus in Berlin on July 7.

The conference attracted representatives from the German Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy and more than 100 businesspeople from the two countries.

Pham Viet Chien, Minister Counsellor to Germany, said the conference under the framework of the 40th anniversary of diplomatic ties aims to introduce Ha Tinh’s economic potential and call for German invesment in the province.

Dieter Ernst, a German Asia-Pacific Business Association (OAV) member, said Ha Tinh has an important position in Vietnam’s north-central region and urged the province to further simplify administration procedures and develop human resources to attract more investment.

Secretary of Ha Tinh Party’s Committee Vo Kim Cu introduced investors to the province’s potential and advantages of infrastructure, natural resources and incentives policies. He stressed that the province gives priority to projects in the fields of IT, energy, science and technology and human resources and accelerates administration reform and transparency to create an open and favourable investment environment.

He called on German and overseas Vietnamese businesses to invest in the provinces, especially in logistics, industrial production, vocational training, agriculture and health care.

Five deals that Ha Tinh signed with German partners are in training and labour exports, equipment supply for factories, rice plantation technology transfer, and supply of agricultural products to German market.
