VN-Index hovers at 570 points
The VN-Index opened higher this morning, but fell to yesterday's close under increased selling power.
On the HCM Stock Exchange, the benchmark VN-Index closed flat at 570.33 points, and the VN30, which tracks the top 30 shares by market value and liquidity, inched down 0.03 per cent to stand at 588.45 points.
The gainers outnumbered the losers by 101 to 82, while 120 others remained unchanged.
Liquidity remained positive, with 81 million shares worth VND1.37 trillion (US$63.1 million) being traded by the end of the morning.
HCM City Infrastructure Investment Co (CII) drew the most attention this morning, with a whopping 28.3 million of its shares being exchanged, becoming the most active stock here. Its price soared 6.63 per cent to stand at VND20,900 ($0.96) per share.
Vinaphil Technical Infrastructure Investment Co, a major shareholder of CII, started selling its entire holding of 22.3 million CII shares today. The sale will continue till July 2.
On the Ha Noi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index increased 0.31 per cent to end at 83.39 points, with a turnover of VND451 billion ($20.8 million).
PetroVietnam Technical Services Corp (PVS) was the most active share this morning in Ha Noi, with 2.8 million of its shares being traded, rising 2.4 per cent to close at VND26,000 ($1.20) per share.
