HCM City fosters trade links with Peru

HCM City will do its best to foster the relations between Viet Nam and Peru, as well as between the city and the South American country, especially in economy and trade.

During a reception organised for Peruvian Ambassador to Viet Nam Carlos Berninzon in the city on Tuesday, Chairman of the municipal People's Committee Le Hoang Quan hailed the Peruvian diplomat's efforts over the past year to promote the relationship between the two countries.

For his part, the ambassador highlighted the effectiveness of projects invested by the military telecom group, Viettel, and the national oil and gas group, PVN, in Peru. In 2014, the trade between Viet Nam and Peru posted at US$300 million, of which HCM City contributed $22 million.
