Aquarius Vietnam received triple first awards at 2014 global competition

Aquarius Vietnam has been named the Overall Winner, ranking No1 among the Top 100 Communications Materials of the world at the 2014 Spotlight Awards Global Communications Competition organised by the League of American Communications Professionals (LACP).

At the same time, Aquarius Vietnam also receives the Platinum Award for the Best Debut entry across all categories and the Platinum Award for Excellence within its competition class.

The ‘triple-first’ winning entry was the 2013 Annual Report of Petrovietnam Drilling and Well Services Corporation, which was designed and produced by Aquarius Vietnam.

“For the 2014 Spotlight Awards, we received approximately 1,500 entries, comprising submissions from a dozen countries and 300 entities. With the score of 99 out of 100, this year’s entry for Petrovietnam Drilling and Well Services Corporation: “Innovation for Sustainability” proves to be remarkable in light of the tremendous competition,” said Christine Kennedy, managing director of LACP.

Upon acceptance of the world-class awards Phua Koon Kee, CEO of Aquarius Vietnam said that this was the first time ever that a Vietnam-based agency wins not just one but three sets of top-of-category awards.

“To come in as the overall winner at LACP 2014 Spotlight Global Communications Competition where the field comprises many multinational corporations, is an icing on the cake. This exceptional achievement is going to take a very, very long time to be matched. We feel honoured, privileged and humbled to help put Vietnam on the world stage by helping the annual report of our client Petrovietnam Drilling Well Services Corporation win such prestigious awards. This ‘triple-first’ recognition illuminates our mission of helping our clients effectively communicate their unique brand propositions to their target audience,” said Kee.

Aquarius Vietnam specialises in media solutions, content marketing, integrated campaigns and creative communications, with clients including Bosch Vietnam, Euro Auto, HAGL Group, Petrovietnam Drilling Well Services Corporation, Sacombank, HSC, Prudential and Kova.
