Hoan My shareholder pays $3.3 million tax arrears

A shareholder of the Hoan My Medical Corporation has paid more than VND70 billion (US$3.3 million) in tax arrears to the HCM City Tax Department.

Earlier in April, the department had announced that it would collect tax from the shareholder and fined him more than VND166.24 billion, or $7.9 million.

The shareholder has committed to pay the remaining amount this year.

The tax agency also stated that the company has strictly followed the tax laws and was not responsible for listing and paying the personal income tax of the aforementioned shareholder.

The Hoan My Medical Corporation, established in 1997, is a private healthcare network, covering central and southern Viet Nam. It has one clinic and five hospitals, including the HCM City-based Saigon Hoan My Hospital and the Can Tho-based Cuu Long Hoan My Hospital.
