Shares reverse trends this morning

Shares closed higher on HCM City Stock Exchange but lower on Ha Noi this morning.

 

The VN-Index edged up 0.07 per cent to 572.65 points on the exchange of more than 59.6 million shares with a total value of VND769.5 billion (US$36.6 million).

The VN30-Index, tracking the performance of the southern bourse's 30 top stocks by capitalisation and liquidity, also added 0.07 per cent to 621.06 points although decliners overwhelming advancers by 10-8.

Vietcombank (VCB) lost VND3,900 ($0.18).

Other losers this morning included Hoa Phat Group (HPG), Kinh Do Corporation (KDC) and Bao Viet Holdings (BVH) while Hoa Sen Group (HSG) and Vinamilk (VNM) were among gainers.

On Ha Noi Exchange, the HNX-Index lost 0.19 per cent to end at 76.85 points while the HNXFF-Index, composed of stocks with minimum free float rate of 5 per cent, dropped 0.3 per cent to 77.46 points.

The HNX30-Index, tracking the largest st ocks, ended 0.11 per cent higher, however, at 155.07 points.

With 35 million shares changing hands, the total trading value reached VND352.4 billion ($16.7 million).

The capital inflow shifted from securities and property stocks yesterday to mining stocks this morning.
