AGL launches one-stop insurance service

Allianz General Laos (AGL) last week kicked off a one-stop service that will integrate all of the insurer's services so customers can access all types of insurance.

This service will streamline the existing set-up at AGL's head office. At present customers have to go to different departments to obtain information, buy policies and make payments, AGL Director General, Mr Guy Apovy, said at the launch on Friday.

The new centre will provide better facilities for customers wanting to buy or renew a policy, get information, make a claim or payment or access any other form of service, Mr Apovy said.

The project has been in process for more than a year to put all the services and systems in place. Mr Apovy anticipates that the new set-up will provide customers with a better understanding of the company's insurance products.

AGL is confident the new one-stop service will attract more customers.

“We designed the one-stop service to be user-friendly for all our customers,” said Mr Apovy.

AGL has installed state-of-the-art IT systems, so documents and procedures can be processed more quickly.

Products available through AGL's one-stop service focus on individual lines such as motor, home, SCB, travel, PA and health insurance. These are standardised products for which AGL can quickly issue policies.

Clients can also ask for information about other products or request clarification.

Allianz is Laos' first insurance company. With 22 years of experience, it is able to provide insurance for large projects and investments, as well as all individual lines.

“We are the leader in the Lao market with a market share of more than 80 percent. This latest project is part of our efforts for the continuing improvement of AGL's services,” Mr Apovy said.

To maintain its leadership in the market, AGL will continue to improve its operations, especially digital IT development and broader networks, for the provision of better service.

AGL currently comprises more than 120 agencies around the country. The compa ny has partners in various companies and government agencies within Laos and overseas.

Over the last few years, AGL has earned about US$50 million a year from the sale of insurance policies.

To sustain this trend, AGL will focus on information provision as most people are poorly informed about insurance matters.
