Great Eastern teams up with HDBank

Singapore-backed life insurer Great Eastern Vietnam and HDBank on May 27signed a strategic cooperation agreement on building financial systems.

Under the deal, the Vietnamese bank will provide Great Eastern with banking services, including insurance transactions.

Great Eastern pledged to open accounts at the bank and use the HDBank services.

Great Eastern Vietnam CEO Laurence Wong said his firm was building a strong financial system and considered this as the core in its development strategy and the agreement with HDBank was a vital part for the strategy.
