Investors ex-dividend engaged in some early short selling of EDL-Gen in yeterdays early session. The stock got off to a flying start and has an array of willing foreign buyers who dominated the market and picked up the early offerings.
Again the electricty distributors stock price was remarkably unchanged all at 4,800 kip trading 204,000 shares turning over US$102,400 or 90pct of the previous days turnover by the 10:30 halfway mark with no trades in the final two sessions.
Normally in mature markets a price rise would accompany such demand, but not so with the uncharacteristic local (foreign) traders.
After being absent for 2 ½ days BCEL finally emerged in only one session, the price also unchanged with just 12,430 stocks traded in the 5th 11am close yesterday.
