LSX turnover doubles

July 30 the market traded much stronger than Friday with almost double the turnover. Added interest ensured yesterdays turnover and volumes filtered through in every session as EDL dominated again and pushed the index higher with a small gain in its share price.

Only 5,000 BCEL shares crossed in the 1st session yesterday for 7,000 kip per share, but the next 3 sessions saw a bounce of 79,000 matching shares with 2 sessions to the close to go.

EDL.Gen made an early trade up 50 kip to gain to 4,750 kip per share also pushing the index 9pts higher to 1012.32, but lost that gain in the 5th session on small volumes, only to surge back on handy volumes up 50 kip for the day
