UNIQLO to open two new stores in Thanh Hóa and Hạ Long

The selection of Thanh Hóa and Quảng Ninh as the next two destinations aligns with UNIQLO’s strategy to expand into local markets that are experiencing simultaneous growth in the economy, infrastructure, tourism and demand for modern retail.

UNIQLO, the global fashion retailer from Japan, announced plans to expand its retail network in Northern and North Central Việt Nam, with two new stores, UNIQLO AEON MALL Thanh Hóa and UNIQLO AEON MALL Hạ Long, scheduled to open this Fall/Winter.

This marks a significant milestone in UNIQLO’s strategy to bring products closer to customers nationwide. With the official opening of these two new locations, UNIQLO’s retail network will expand to 34 stores across the country, further enhancing its ability to serve customers seven years after the brand entered the Vietnamese market.

The selection of Thanh Hóa and Quảng Ninh as the next two destinations aligns with UNIQLO’s strategy to expand into local markets that are experiencing simultaneous growth in the economy, infrastructure, tourism and demand for modern retail.

Located on the first floor of AEON MALL Thanh Hóa, the store will feature a sales area of approximately 1,000 square meters.

Situated at the city's largest traffic intersection and just a 10-minute drive from the city centre, the store enjoys a prime location that connects both local residents and tourists. Its proximity to modern urban areas and new residential developments also enables UNIQLO to cater to the increasingly diverse needs of families, young customers, and the area's growing community.

Meanwhile, the UNIQLO AEON MALL Hạ Long store will be located on the first floor of the shopping centre, featuring a sales area of approximately 1,000 square meters.

Situated on National Highway 18, about 12km from the Hải Phòng – Hạ Long Expressway and connected to major roads such as Trần Nhân Tông, Hoàng Quốc Việt, and Trần Phú, the store offers convenient access from various parts of Quảng Ninh. This location is expected to enable UNIQLO to effectively serve both local residents and tourists visiting Hạ Long for leisure.

Commenting on this expansion plan, Mr. Akiyama Naoki, General Director of UNIQLO Vietnam, said: “Thanh Hóa and Quảng Ninh are two provinces experiencing remarkable economic growth alongside a rapidly rising demand for a better quality of life.

"The opening of these two new stores marks a significant milestone in our long-term commitment to Việt Nam.

"We hope that UNIQLO AEON MALL Thanh Hóa and UNIQLO AEON MALL Hạ Long will not only deliver LifeWear products and a world-class shopping experience but also become trusted destinations that accompany our customers and the local community in their daily lives.”
