SACOMBANK renamed as Saigon Treasure Commercial Joint Stock Bank

Saigon Thuong Tin Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SACOMBANK) has officially changed its name to Saigon Treasure Commercial Joint Stock Bank following approval from the State Bank of Vietnam under Decision No. 36/QD-QLGS4 dated June 1, 2026.

Its Vietnamese name is ‘Ngân hàng Thương mại cổ phần Sài Gòn Tài Lộc’ or ‘Ngân hàng Sài Gòn Tài Lộc’ for short, and its English name’s abbreviation is SACOMBANK.

The new name not only preserves the brand values that the bank has built over more than three decades, but also reflects its development vision for the next phase of growth.

“Sài Gòn” represents a dynamic, pioneering, and global integrated spirit – the birthplace of the SACOMBANK brand. “Tài” symbolises strong financial capability and professional excellence, while “Lộc” signifies prosperity and good fortune. Together, the new name embodies the bank’s aspiration for prudent, efficient and sustainable growth while maximizing value for shareholders, partners and customers.

The bank affirmed that the change of its commercial name will not affect its business operations or the legitimate rights and interests of customers, partners, and shareholders. The name change plan was previously approved by SACOMBANK’s shareholders at its annual general meeting of shareholders on April 22, 2026.

Founded in 1991, SACOMBANK has consistently expanded its scale, network and operational capabilities to assert its position as one of Việt Nam’s leading modern, multi-functional retail banks with strong competitiveness.

In 2026, the bank embarked on a phase of significant transformation, marked by the consolidation of its senior leadership team and the implementation of a series of restructuring initiatives to reinforce operational safety, improve efficiency, and enhance the bank’s agility and adaptability in an increasingly dynamic environment.

The name change marks the next step in the bank’s brand repositioning process, laying the foundation for long-term growth as the banking sector enters a more intense phase of competition and transformation.

Going forward, SACOMBANK will roll out activities to synchronise the new brand identity across its entire system, delivering the best possible experiences for customers and striving toward the goal of becoming the "No 1 retail bank in Việt Nam."
