Vĩnh Long promotes cooperation with New Hope Singapore

A delegation from southern Vĩnh Long province on May 26 worked with New Hope Singapore to promote investment cooperation with the Singapore-registered animal feed producer and discuss solutions to improve the local business climate.

During the meeting, Vĩnh Long officials highlighted the importance of strengthening dialogue with foreign businesses and praised New Hope Singapore’s long-term presence in the province.

The company has operated a livestock, poultry and aquaculture feed manufacturing plant in Bình Minh Industrial Park since 2017, with total investment of nearly US$27 million.

Provincial leaders encouraged New Hope Singapore to consider expanding its investment and business in Vĩnh Long, while also seeking recommendations from the company on how to improve the local investment climate.

Representatives of New Hope Singapore said Vĩnh Long has strong growth potential in agriculture, especially in seafood production and processing industries, supported by improving transport infrastructure.

The company said they are ready to work with the province to support economic development, social welfare and sustainable agriculture, calling for continued support in simplifying investment procedures, upgrading infrastructure and developing a skilled workforce.  

In response, Vĩnh Long pledged efforts to continue improving the investment environment and creating favourable conditions for businesses to expand their long-term operations.
