The Vietnam Elevator Expo 2026 is set to make its debut in Hà Nội this April, marking a significant step in the development of Việt Nam's elevator and supporting industries while strengthening connections across the broader industrial and construction ecosystem.

Co-organised by the Vietnam Elevator Association and VINEXAD under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the exhibition will take place from April 8 to 11 at the Việt Nam Exhibition Centre in Đông Anh Commune, Hà Nội.

The event will be held alongside the 35th Vietnam Expo and the Vietnam Hardware and Hand Tools Expo 2026, creating what organisers describe as a large-scale, multi-industry exhibition platform.

According to the organising committee, the joint event is expected to facilitate business matching and strengthen value chain links among industries including manufacturing, construction, engineering and technical equipment.

The integrated format also opens up opportunities for elevator enterprises to connect with related sectors, including building materials and smart building solutions.

A key highlight of the exhibition is a thematic seminar titled 'The Art of Elevators', scheduled for the afternoon of April 8. The session introduces a new approach to elevator cabin design, combining functionality with artistic elements, particularly traditional Vietnamese lacquer.

Organisers note that as high-rise buildings continue to develop rapidly, expectations for lifts are evolving beyond technical performance. Increasingly, user experience factors like aesthetics, emotional engagement and spatial personalisation are becoming essential considerations.

At the same time, emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things, are accelerating the development of smart elevator systems, requiring closer integration between engineering and design.

Within this context, Vietnamese lacquer is presented not only as a material solution but also as a design language that can contribute to the identity of modern buildings. With its layered structure and handcrafted finishing techniques, lacquer offers both visual depth and distinctive character, particularly for mid- to high-end developments.

The seminar is expected to bring together architects, engineers and industry experts, including representatives from consulting, interior design and elevator manufacturing fields.

A representative of the organising committee emphasised that an elevator cabin is not only a functional space, but also a point of aesthetic interaction, reflecting the identity of the building and the user experience.

The exhibition will also feature a cooperation announcement between the Vietnam Institute of Elevator Engineering Application and Germany's INTEC GmbH, focusing on the development of lift control solutions aligned with European standards.

Technology showcases from international brands, alongside simulation systems developed through international collaboration, will also be presented throughout the event.
