Long Hậu Corporation has broken ground on the Long Hau LEED Park project, a multi-storey green factory complex aimed at meeting growing global demand for sustainable production, logistics and research facilities.
The project will feature a four-storey facility offering around 56,000 square metres of leasable floor space and is expected to serve manufacturers in electronics, medical equipment, precision engineering, research and logistics. Phase 1 is scheduled for completion by the end of September 2026.
Designed to achieve LEED certification, an internationally recognised green building standard, the development positions itself as an ESG-focused production and logistics hub, reflecting the increasing emphasis on energy efficiency, resource management and environmentally responsible operations in industrial production.
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday, Bùi Lê Anh Hiếu, marketing and business director of Long Hau Corporation, said ESG standards have become essential rather than optional, particularly for foreign-invested companies seeking to join global supply chains.
He added that the project aims to address three key challenges faced by manufacturers: speeding up production deployment, optimising operating costs and meeting green standards from the outset.
Long Hau LEED Park incorporates design features to enhance energy and resource efficiency, including reflective roofing and specialised solar glass to stabilise indoor temperatures and reduce cooling demand.
The development also includes smart water-saving sanitary systems and fresh-air ventilation equipped with CO2 sensors to maintain a safe working environment. Low-emission construction materials are used to support worker health and meet international labour standards.
Situated near HCM City, the site benefits from connections to key logistics hubs such as Cát Lái Port and Hiệp Phước Port, as well as the Bến Lức – Long Thành Expressway, facilitating cargo transport across the southeast region, the Mekong Delta and the country’s largest consumption market.
