Hyundai HT, a leading Republic of Korea (RoK) smart-home solutions provider, has announced plans to establish its first overseas manufacturing subsidiary – Hyundai HT Global – in Việt Nam’s northern Phú Thọ Province.

The new subsidiary will be located in the Bình Xuyên Industrial Park, with construction expected to be completed in December, and mass production slated to begin next year. According to experts, the Bình Xuyên Industrial Park offers strong advantages in transport infrastructure, logistics services and an established network of manufacturing enterprises, which support supply-chain connectivity and partnership expansion.

Hyundai HT said the establishment of Hyundai HT Global will significantly expand its production capacity across its entire portfolio, helping ensure a more stable supply for major domestic construction firms as well as for the retail market. The company also aims to build a more flexible and reliable supply system to meet both existing and newly confirmed orders.

Stronger ties with its Vietnamese business arm are expected to enhance supply-chain stability and operational efficiency. The company noted that lower logistics costs and improved price competitiveness will help secure profitability while better meeting customer demand.

Positioning Việt Nam as a strategic base will also lay a foundation for Hyundai HT to scale up operations before expanding into other Southeast Asian markets, thereby strengthening its presence in the global smart-home industry.

Lee Geon Gu, CEO of Hyundai HT, said the new manufacturing entity will complement Hyundai HT VINA, its existing sales subsidiary in Việt Nam, forming part of the firm’s broader localisation strategy toward global expansion. In the future, Hyundai HT plans to deliver customised smart-home services to customers more quickly and reliably through its expanded footprint in Việt Nam.
