HCM CITY — Haskoning, an international consultancy and engineering company from the Netherlands, has recently affirmed that Việt Nam plays an important role in its strategy and sustainability ambitions.

In its latest media meeting, the company reaffirmed its commitment to be a trusted and innovative engineering consultancy with a well-established position in Việt Nam’s continued growth.

The company said that by combining global expertise with local insight, and by taking proactive efforts in implementing sustainable solutions, it stands ready to be part of the country’s future - helping unlock new opportunities and realise the vision of a thriving, resilient society.

The company remains committed to delivering resilient, innovative solutions that address both current and long-term development challenges, and will continue strengthening collaborations with its clients and partners in Việt Nam, said Marije Hulshof, CEO of Haskoning.

Việt Nam’s dynamic landscape presents both opportunities and challenges that Haskoning is uniquely positioned to navigate.

The country’s rapid urbanisation and economic growth – projected at 6.5 per cent in 2025 and between 8-10 per cent in 2026 – are accompanied by pressing issues like climate vulnerability and infrastructure demands. Recent administrative reforms and decentralisation efforts are creating new opportunities for development of industrial facilities, infrastructure and logistics, with more simplified and optimised support from local authorities.

Leveraging its international expertise and strong on-ground experience, Haskoning is well positioned to support Việt Nam as it accelerates its green growth strategy.

Looking ahead, the company is committed to combining integrated engineering, digital expertise, and sustainability-driven design to support Việt Nam’s evolving needs.

The company’s focus remains on water resilience, sustainable mobility, ports, data centres, and industry and infrastructure, ensuring solutions that are not only efficient but also environmentally and socially responsible.

ESG principles are at the core of its purpose, Enhancing Society Together, guiding the company to create transparent, inclusive, and impactful projects that uphold the highest standards for the planet and its people.

“Over the past four decades, we have grown with Việt Nam and built capabilities and expertise that enable us to effectively contribute to the country’s development,” said Vadym Sheronov, General Director, Haskoning Vietnam.

“We remain focused on sustainability and best engineering practices, placing our clients at the heart of everything we do, while investing in local partnerships, nurturing talent, and delivering future-ready solutions”.

Since establishing its presence in 1985, Haskoning has evolved alongside Việt Nam, contributing to transformative projects that support the country’s rapid industrialisation and green ambitions. This milestone reflects the company’s long-term cooperation and continued commitment to Việt Nam’s sustainable future.

With approximately 200 employees, annual revenue of VNĐ450 billion (US$17 million), and as one of the top engineering consulting firms in Việt Nam, Haskoning has become an integral partner in the country’s development journey. Projects include the Mekong Delta Integrated Regional Plan, Viettel Data Centre, Trà Vinh Wind Farm, Gemalink Container Terminal, Heineken Vũng Tàu Brewery, HCM City Masterplan, Phú Mỹ Wastewater Treatment Plant and the LEGO Factory.
