Việt Nam’s largest steelmaker Hoà Phát Group has produced 15 million tonnes of hot-rolled coil (HRC) since its first rollout in May 2020.

Of the total, 13.5 million tonnes came from the HRC1 plant at Hoà Phát Dung Quất 1 complex while the rest from HRC2 in Hoà Phát Dung Quất 2.

The operation of blast furnaces No 1 and 2 at Dung Quất 2 earlier this year would boost the plant’s output significantly.

Hoà Phát’s HRC products meet stringent international standards such as JIS, MS, SAE, BS EN and are CE marked for exports to the EU.

The group has successfully produced advanced steel products such as IF Steel and API standards and is also working to develop other premium products.

Hoà Phát is the largest steel producer in Southeast Asia and among the world’s top 30 steelmakers. The group will have a total capacity of 16 million tonnes from 2026, including nine tonnes of HRC.

HRC is a key industrial steel product widely used in a range of industries, including coated steel, pipes, containers, automobiles, shipbuilding, oil and gas, engineering, household appliances, steel structure and energy.
