Czech automobile manufacturer Skoda has introduced its newest model, Skoda Slavia, the second CKD (Complete Knock-Down) made in Việt Nam, in a show at Skoda Đà Nẵng. The company is offering free registration in September and a free maintenance service during the first 7,500km for customers.

Company representatives at the Đà Nẵng showroom said three Slavia editions – Active, Ambition and Style – will be sold at incentive prices from VNĐ421 million (US$16,000) to VNĐ511 million ($19,400) for the first deliveries in September only.

The Czech manufacturer has been making cars in central Việt Nam for one year, since the Skoda factory began production in Quảng Ninh Province.

Last month, the brand organised a road show in Đà Nẵng for customers in central Việt Nam.

Skoda, which partnered with local car distributor and producer Thành Công Group, began exporting cars to Việt Nam in 2023 with two gasoline-powered models, the Slavia sedan and Kushaq compact SUV.

The firm plans to roll out production of electric vehicles in Việt Nam in the next few years.
