In a feather in Việt Nam’s cap, Helen Solar Company Ltd. has announced that its processed bird’s nest soup and raw nest products under the Yến Helen brand have secured Halal certification, becoming the country’s first bird’s nest brand to achieve this milestone.

The certification, granted by the Việt Nam Halal Certification Agency under the Vietnam Certification Centre, follows two years of on-site inspections and assessments, opening the door to export to Muslim markets.

Yến Solar operates a factory in Cam Ranh, producing more than 100 types of bird’s nest products, many of which are eligible for export. Its goods are already available in Dubai, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines.

Việt Nam has classified bird’s nest as a special husbandry product, with more than 22,000 bird houses across the country.
