The Management Board of Quảng Ninh Economic Zone has granted investment licences for two projects in Móng Cái Ward 3 with a total value of nearly VNĐ1.2 trillion (US$46 million) on August 9, including an industrial cluster development project and a seafood processing and preservation project.
The Hải Yên Industrial Cluster project, invested by Tân Đại Dương International Import-Export JSC, has a total capital of more than VNĐ1.1 trillion and will cover nearly 56 hectares, of which 50.3 hectares will be dedicated to industrial cluster infrastructure and 5.6 hectares to connecting transport infrastructure.
The project aims to attract industrial and handicraft production facilities, help relocate polluting or non-conforming operations, create jobs, increase budget revenues and boost local socio-economic development. This is the company’s third industrial cluster project in Quảng Ninh, following the Đông Mai and Yên Than clusters.
The second project, invested by Mai Hà Co Ltd, has a total capital of VNĐ52 billion and will span 1.3 hectares, specialising in purchasing, preserving, preliminarily processing and processing of seafood for export and domestic consumption. It is expected to be completed by March 2027.
Chairman of Quảng Ninh People’s Committee Phạm Đức Ấn said that the province boasts a modern administrative system and infrastructure along with leading competitiveness nationwide, making it an attractive destination for both domestic and foreign investors.
He emphasised the motto, 'The success of enterprises is the success of the province' and pledged to accompany investors and create maximum favourable conditions for project implementation.
Ấn urged the Economic Zone Management Board and Móng Cái Ward 3 to coordinate in resolving obstacles promptly, while calling on investors to be proactive in mobilising resources, allocating capital appropriately, ensuring progress and paying attention to environmental protection and landscape.
