AgriS builds leadership team for next strategic phase

AgriS is reinforcing its executive leadership as it enters a pivotal new phase in its drive to lead Vietnam’s high-tech agricultural transformation.

Chairwoman Dang Huynh Uc My said, "To support our transformation, AgriS has appointed key personnel to support its market expansion strategy and improve operational capacity. By combining professional expertise, strategic thinking, international leadership experience, and local understandings, AgriS is poised to maintain its pioneering role and make a lasting impact on the high-tech agriculture industry in Vietnam and in the region."

"The new leadership team will enable AgriS to advance a circular value chain," she added. "It will integrate technology-driven solutions across agriculture, food, and finance under an environmental, social, and governance policy framework. This orientation will drive the company towards a greener, more innovative, and globally connected future, while underscoring AgriS' commitment to advancing modern, sustainable agriculture in Vietnam."

On August 1, AgriS announced a series of senior executive appointments aimed at completing its leadership team ahead of its strategic breakthrough phase towards 2030.

The move forms part of its broader mission to build the region’s leading high-tech agriculture ecosystem, as Vietnam’s farming sector undergoes rapid shifts driven by sustainability, digitalisation, and circularity. The new leaders bring a blend of global experience, industry expertise, and innovative thinking to unlock the future of digital agriculture.

Nguyen Duc Hung Linh has been appointed vice president of AgriS’ Investment Division. With over 20 years of experience in finance and strategic investment, he has held senior roles at SSI, PVI Asset Management, and SK Vietnam, and contributes to macroeconomic reports for the Central Economic Commission.

At AgriS, he will lead the group’s investment strategy, strengthen international partnerships, and drive financial efficiency supporting its goal to build a regional-scale agrifinance digital ecosystem.

Nguyen Thi Lan Phuong steps into the role of vice president for AgriS’ Supply Chain Division. Drawing on international experience from multinational corporations and leading food and beverage chains in Vietnam, she brings strong expertise in supply chain management. She will lead the development of a modern, digitised, and agile supply chain to meet the demands of the group’s rapid growth and strategic expansion.

These additions bring AgriS’ leadership team to seven members, blending global insight with internal strengths and a shared vision to transform Vietnamese agriculture through technology, data, and sustainable innovation.

According to the consolidated financial statement for fiscal year 2024–2025, AgriS posted strong business results. Its net revenue reached nearly VND28.5 trillion ($1.1 billion), surpassing the target by 9 per cent. Meanwhile, pre-tax profit and post-tax profit climbed to over VND951 billion ($36.2 million) and VND878 billion ($33.5 million), up 5 per cent and 9 per cent, respectively. Sugar consumption volume surpassed 1 million tonnes.

On July 28, the company's shares hit VND24,950 (95 US cents) apiece – its highest level since August 2017 – pushing market capitalisation past VND20 trillion ($763 million).

The company continues to solidify its leading position in the development of high-tech agriculture, with a target of VND60 trillion ($2.29 billion) in revenue by 2030 and a net-zero commitment by 2035. By collaborating with academic institutions, government agencies, financial partners, farmers, and business associations in the local and international market, AgriS has built a foundation for a smart, modern, integrated, green, and sustainable agricultural ecosystem.

AgriS has also gained local and international recognition with numerous awards, such as a double win at the 2025 Vietnam Excellence Awards for Talent Attraction and Employee Development. The company climbed 25 spots in the Fortune Southeast Asia 500 for 2025, and received a nod at this year's I4.0 Awards in the Pioneering Leader in Innovation category.
