FOSCO expects that with the new logo, which was released at a ceremony celebrating the company’s 46th anniversary, the company will continue to strengthen its co-operation with diplomatic missions, international organisations, and partners both domestically and abroad, together aiming for greater shared values in their upcoming journey of development.
Addressing the audience at the event, Phạm Dứt Điểm, acting director general of the HCM City Department of Foreign Affairs highlighted FOSCO's pivotal role amidst HCM City's transformation into a smart megacity and regional financial-service hub, emphasising the importance of active collaboration to unlock the enterprise's full potential during this critical juncture.
Previously, FOSCO's services extended to 19 provinces and cities in the southern region. Following the National Assembly's Resolution on provincial-level administrative reorganisation, the number of localities covered will be reduced. Despite the decrease in the number of provinces and cities, the demand for quality and professionalism in service provision is expected to rise significantly.
Ngô Phương Nghị, Director General of the Service Department for Diplomatic Corps under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said: “We also recognise the challenges FOSCO is encountering in carrying out its assigned tasks, particularly in maintaining services for the consular corps. Relevant units under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs are continuing to work closely with competent authorities to gradually resolve many of the difficulties arising during implementation, ensuring that FOSCO’s foreign service operations remain stable, effective, and in compliance with both domestic and international legal standards,” he said.
