As many as 70 Vietnamese enterprises from localities nationwide are showcasing their products at the 9th China-South Asia Expo (CSA Expo) and the 29th Kunming Import and Export Fair (South Asia Expo 2025) held in Kunming city, Yunnan province, China.

Vietnamese exhibitors introduce a wide range of flagship products including seafood, cashew nuts, pepper, coffee, dragon fruit, sliced cassava, coconut-based products, footwear, perfume and wooden furniture.

Vietnamese products drew strong interest from international partners and visitors. Notably, cashew nuts and pepper received positive feedback, making it onto the list of standout items at the fair, contributing to enhancing the image and value of Vietnamese goods in the international market.

According to Nguyễn Tấn Đức, head of the business support division at the Investment and Trade Promotion Centre of Lào Cai province, the northeast locality has carried out many trade promotion activities with Yunnan Province, including organising delegations of Vietnamese enterprises to participate in the two events annually, to set up partnerships and sign economic contracts.

This year, Lào Cai facilitated the participation of seven import-export businesses in the events, where they signed cooperation agreements on logistics and import-export, he noted.

The CSA Expo is the leading economic and political event in southwestern China, supported by the Chinese Government as part of its "Go West" strategy and the Belt and Road Initiative. It serves as a platform for deepening China's cooperation with South Asian and ASEAN countries.

This year’s edition, themed “Solidarity and Cooperation for Common Development”, features 15 thematic exhibition zones covering 150,000sq.m, with around 8,000 standard booths. The event draws participants from over 30 countries and territories, alongside businesses from more than 20 provinces and cities across China.

The expo helps not only promote Vietnamese products to Chinese and international partners but also foster trade and sustainable development cooperation among countries in the region.
