The facility has been classed as a key national project. Started on August 30, 2024, the project is close to completion and will be inaugurated on the 80th anniversary of National Day.

Covering 90 hectares, it is in the world's top 10 in terms of total area as well as exhibition area. The centre is located at the northeast gateway of Hanoi, close to important traffic arteries.

The government leader appreciated the efforts of ministries, agencies, Hanoi's authorities, and Vingroup for accelerating the construction, so the opening ceremony can be held on August 19.
