At the meeting, Chearavanont emphasised the important role of the agricultural and food industry in Vietnam.
"We invest in production and work for people, for the future, for the sustainable living values of this country," said Chearavanont, as he expressed his desire to continue receiving support from the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment and the government of Vietnam to bring Vietnamese-branded livestock products to Europe, the Middle East, and other markets.
Minister Duy expressed his appreciation role of C.P. Vietnam (CPV). "CPV is inspiring and creates a strong influence on the Vietnamese agricultural value chain. We hope that the group will continue to be a driving force for green transformation, digital transformation, and innovation in industry management thinking," Duy said.
The minister also asserted the role of CPV in promoting the livestock value chain, creating jobs, and improving the competitiveness of the Vietnamese livestock industry. He acknowledged the company's contributions to community activities such as developing One Commune, One Product items, supporting the conservation of red-crowned cranes, and planting trees.
The meeting between the two senior leaders was an indication of the aligned priorities between business leaders and policymakers in addressing sustainable development challenges, including food security, climate change and resource management.

Since entering Vietnam in 1993, CPV has been a keen ally of local farmers and a contributor to agricultural growth through its extensive operations, including factories nationwide, thousands of jobs, and a $200 million poultry processing complex in Binh Phuoc.
CPV not only provides safe products with clear traceability, but also contributes to boosting the development of Vietnam's agriculture towards modernity, high technology, and sustainability. With 30,000 employees across the country, CPV operates tens of factories, farms, and research and development centres, to provide millions of tonnes of products to domestic and export markets every year.
CPV has also been an early adopter of environmental, social, and governance commitments by reducing plastic packaging, utilising solar energy, converting fossil fuels to biomass, and building low-carbon production models, aimed at achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.
