Chinese electronics firms keen on Vietnam's fast-growing market

Hundreds of Chinese electronics firms are gathering at an international expo in Vietnam to look for trading opportunities and explore the local market.

Chinese electronics firms keen on Vietnam's fast-growing market

The Vietnam International Electronics & Smart Appliances Expo 2025 (IEAE) is taking place from May 29-31 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Centre (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City.

The expo has attracted over 350 enterprises from China and Vietnam, showcasing a wide range of products in consumer electronics and small household appliances.

To Ngoc Son, deputy head of the Foreign Market Department under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, said, "The business community in the electronics and high-tech sector is facing more challenges due to the global economic turbulence, rising logistics costs, and escalating trade tensions. In this context, there is a high demand for collaboration between Vietnamese and Chinese enterprises."

"With strong economic growth, rapid urbanisation, and improving living conditions, Vietnam has high potential market for electronics products. Vietnam is also an ideal destination for multinational corporations operating in the IT and electronics sectors. With its young population and well-trained business leaders, the country is willing to meet the workforce requirements in the electronics and high-tech sector," Son said.

The consumer electronics and household appliances sector has become an important growth driver for Vietnam's exports. According to statistics, Vietnam has registered double-digit growth in export value of consumer electronics and household appliances over the past few years.

Against the backdrop of many fluctuations, the wave of technological innovation is growing strongly and penetrating all areas of the industry. This trend leads to changes in products, features, and user experience, while promoting the industry's transformation.

At IEAE, businesses are displaying many of the latest consumer electronic products, household appliances, and electronic components and spare parts, with a wide range of products, diverse designs, and direct cost from the manufacturers. It offers an overview of the ongoing changes and emerging trends in the industry. Meanwhile, businesses and industry professionals will participate in a seminar series to explore the industry's future development trends.
