Hòa Phát (HPG) targets record revenue, plans to issue 1.3 billion additional shares

Hòa Phát Group sets forth an ambitious business plan, projecting consolidated revenue of VNĐ170 trillion (US$6.5 billion) and a post-tax profit of VNĐ15 trillion.

At its 2025 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders, Hòa Phát Group (HoSE: HPG) announced an ambitious business plan, aiming for consolidated revenue of VNĐ170 trillion (US$6.5 billion) and post-tax profit of VNĐ15 trillion.

These targets represent increases of 20.9 per cent and 24.7 per cent respectively, compared to 2024. If achieved, this would mark the group’s highest-ever revenue and its second-highest profit in history.

A notable proposal was the distribution of all 2024 dividends in shares at a 20 per cent rate, equating to the issuance of nearly 1.3 billion new shares. This comes after the group cancelled a previously planned mixed dividend (5 per cent in cash, 15 per cent in shares), due to concerns surrounding new US tariff policies. The all-stock dividend strategy is aimed at preserving cash flow and ensuring capital stability amid global trade uncertainties.

If approved, Hòa Phát’s charter capital would rise from VNĐ63.96 trillion to VNĐ76.76 trillion.

As of the end of 2024, Hòa Phát’s total assets stood at VNĐ224.49 trillion, a 20 per cent increase from the beginning of the year. Short-term assets reached VNĐ86.67 trillion, while long-term assets rose sharply to VNĐ137.82 trillion, thanks to intensified investment in key projects.
