Malaysian property developer Gamuda Land Vietnam (GLVN) continues to affirm its commitment to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) values through two meaningful tree planting activities in HCM City and Hải Phòng.

These efforts are part of the company’s comprehensive sustainable development strategy – the Gamuda Green Plan 2025  – and also in response to the global campaign “1 Million Trees with Gamuda Land” aimed at creating green living spaces in Vietnamese urban areas.

In HCM City, the tree planting activity was organised in Thủ Đức City.

Angus Liew Bing Fooi, chairman of GLVN, shared: “The core value of Gamuda Land is respect for nature and the environment. We believe that a true home is not merely a place to live, but a living space where humans and nature exist in harmony.

"The event is not merely a tree planting activity, but also a strong statement of the company’s commitment to the global #OneMillionTree campaign. Our goal is to plant one million trees across our global project portfolio by 2030."

In Hải Phòng – where GLVN is preparing to launch a new project – the tree planting activity not only carries strategic significance but also clearly reflects social responsibility. The event was held at SOS Children's Village Hai Phong, a nurturing home for orphans and children in difficult circumstances.

The programme not only helped improve the landscape after Typhoon Yagi in September 2024 but also created a green, peaceful living environment for the children.

Besides planting trees, GLVN also donated rice and essential necessities, contributing to the improvement of daily life for the children at the village.
