Việt Nam’s Vitad Group and Israel’s Ginosar Agro Co are cooperating in enhancing agricultural development in Việt Nam through advanced Israeli technology.

This consensus followed a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement inked between the two companies in Tel Aviv on Wednesday.

The General Director of Vitad, Trần Hữu Tuyên, said that the two companies have been collaborating for several years and have now upgraded their partnership to a comprehensive level. As part of the agreement, Vitad and Ginosar will establish a laboratory in Việt Nam by the end of this year.

“Ginosar has a well-established infrastructure of genetic resources and core technology. They will bring this lab technology to Việt Nam, allowing us to develop high-quality plant varieties for large-scale farming, raw material production and expanded exports, creating significant economic value,” Tuyên said.

General Director of Ginosar, Inon Ben Zur said: “We are eager to strengthen business ties with Việt Nam, especially with Vitad. We believe this partnership will lead to significant advancements in research, technology development and the establishment of a modern agricultural market for crops such as pineapples, bananas and avocados.”

In his speech at the ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador to Israel, Lý Đức Trung praised the agreement, saying that it marks a breakthrough in bilateral agricultural cooperation.

He said that the establishment of a joint research laboratory marks a shift from simple plant variety transfers to cooperative research and innovation, ensuring new plant varieties align with Việt Nam’s soil conditions and market demands.

“This initiative will provide a major boost for Việt Nam’s agricultural sector,” the ambassador affirmed.

Ginosar Agro, a company specialising in technological solutions for agriculture, is known for its expertise in plant propagation using tissue culture technology. The company supplies millions of high-quality seedlings annually, helping farmers boost product quality, productivity and investment efficiency.

Meanwhile, Vitad Group, based in the central province of Hà Tĩnh, focuses on agricultural services, high-tech crop investments and developing farming processing and preservation plants.
