Seminar Explores Market Opportunities for Fruit and Vegetable Products

A workshop on “New Opportunities in the Fruit and Vegetable Business” was held on Feb. 28 in Siem Reap province with an aim to explore and expand markets for local producers and businesses involved in fruit and vegetable products.

 

Samheng Bora, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Commerce, presided over the workshop with the participation of representatives of Siem Reap province, relevant provincial departments, especially the agricultural community, farm owners, fruit and vegetable growers, distributors, and other stakeholders in the fruit and vegetable sector in Siem Reap province.

It is also to provide a business networking platform between farming communities, farm owners, fruit and vegetable growers, distributors, wholesalers, retailers, processors, and other business partners with an emphasis on promoting and boosting the export of Cambodian products to international markets.

It was held on the sidelines of the 18th Khmer Products, Fruits and Vegetables Exhibition 2025 being held in Siem Reap province from Feb. 27 to Mar. 2.

The seminar featured presentations covering the following topics: 1-strategies for promoting Cambodia’s potential products for export, 2-the potential of fruit and vegetable production in Siem Reap province, 3-procedures for sending Cambodian products to supermarkets, and 4-the development of the production value chain and business partnerships in the fruit and vegetable sector.
