MoU signed to promote tourism in Cambodia

The Asia Pacific Tourism Association of Cambodia (PATA Cambodia Chapter) and G.T.V.C Import Export Co., Ltd. have partnered to promote tourism sector in Cambodia.

 

The two parties signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on March 14 in Preah Sihanouk province in the presence of Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism, and Mang Sinet, Governor of Preah Sihanouk province, with the participation of relevant officials and private sector in the tourism sector.

The MoU is a comprehensive strategic partnership aimed at expanding the tourism service network and improving tourism infrastructure and capabilities, which constitutes another key driver to boost Cambodian tourism.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Hak highlighted Preah Sihanouk province’s rapid infrastructure development and strategic advantages, including its prime location, natural resources, beautiful coastline, ports, agricultural land, and many other potentials, making it ideal for a model multi-purpose special economic zone.

Preah Sihanouk province will become the gateway to the Cambodian coastal region, an international standard coastal tourism destination, and a famous tourist destination with a high level of attractiveness in ASEAN, he underlined.
