The People’s Committee of Hà Nội is restructuring the former Hà Nội Business Support Centre and changing its name.

The centre will be called the Hà Nội Investment Promotion and Business Support Centre, headquartered in the Vân Hồ Inter-Agency Area at 52 Lê Đại Hành Street in Hai Bà Trưng District.

According to the committee's Decision 1767, the centre is a public non-business unit with revenue, and works under the management of the Hà Nội Department of Finance.

The centre will have 16 task groups with a structure consisting of a director and two deputy directors and will have four departments: Administrative-Organisation, Business Development, Business Consulting and Investment Promotion.

The centre’s functions include advising the director of the Department of Finance to develop and implement projects, programmes and plans to support business development, particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

It will also support start-ups and innovative start-ups, assist businesses under the Law on Support for Small and Medium Enterprises, carry out investment promotion programmes and build a business database for the city.

The committee assigned the director of the city’s Department of Finance to form the organisational structure and arrange personnel in compliance with regulations, as well as appointing leadership and management positions.

The director of the centre will be responsible for leading and coordinating with relevant agencies and units to arrange and stabilise the organisational structure, manage personnel, allocate budgets, manage real estate and office locations and perform other tasks and obligations.
