VIB launches Super Yield account to optimise idle cash flow

On February 17, the Vietnam International Bank (VIB) officially launched the Super Yield account on its MyVIB digital banking platform with the message “Awakening the idle cash flow.”

By activating this super feature on VIB’s payment account, customers will optimise daily profits with a yield up to 43 times higher than usual.

VIB launches Super Yield account to optimise idle cash flow

Ho Van Long, VIB deputy CEO and head of Retail Banking, said, “The Super Yield account is VIB’s breakthrough initiative to bring the concepts of cash flow movements and idle cash flow optimisation experience to every customer and Vietnamese user."

"With the mission ‘Awaken your idle cash flow, it is not only a pioneering financial service to transform idle money into a profitable opportunity, but also revolutionises the mindset of cash flow. More than a product, it is a call for action so that each individual, business, and the wider community together unlock the power of finance, optimise capital, and shape a prosperous future.”

On accessing MyVIB digital bank and activating the feature, the Super Yield account will be connected with the customer's payment account balance at VIB with two standard threshold options of VND10 million ($395) and VND100 million ($3,950).

Once the threshold is selected by the customer, the excess amount in the payment account balance will be connected to the Super Yield account, which will be optimised every day with an annual yield of up to 4.3 per cent. Compared to the regular payment account's annual interest rate of 0.1 per cent, the Super Yield account provides consumers with up to 43 times more yield for their idle cash flow.

MyVIB was recognised as The Most Innovative Digital Bank in Vietnam in 2024 by Global Business Outlook. VIB has pioneered the adoption of the most cutting-edge technologies for MyVIB, such as cloud, big data, AI, and especially GenAI, to gain insights into the habits, preferences, and transaction journeys of customers.

The Super Yield account is designed to ensure security, user-friendliness, and optimisation criteria, bringing superior benefits to users.

With the Super Yield account, customers can enjoy a seamless experience for digital transactions with flexible payment spending anytime, anywhere, to optimise idle cash flow. All balance fluctuations, accumulated interest amounts, and interest rates are reported fully, accurately, and clearly every day right on the application.

As a leader in the digital transformation of banking services, VIB constantly applies technologies to create smart and innovative financial services, facilitating customers to proactively manage cash flows and optimise profits in just a few touches.

With the characteristics of being profitable every single day, profitable with just one touch, and flexible money withdrawal with one step, VIB’s Super Yield account offers customers higher yields than regular payment accounts for idle cash. This entirely changes customer mindsets about how to use payment accounts.

This is a smart solution for optimising the personal assets of Vietnamese customers. The payment account balance is no longer a dormant reserve, but a cash flow that is always moving to create continuous value. The launch of the Super Yield account marks an important step forward, affirming VIB's position in elevating the modern banking experience.

Customers who activate the Super Yield account feature on the MyVIB application can select a preferred payment account number worth up to VND15 million at no cost. The programme runs until March 31 this year.

By maintaining a balance of at least VND1 million in the Super Yield account, customers receive one lucky draw entry per day for a chance to win tickets to SKY LOUNGE, SVIP, FANZONE, GA3, and CAT2, as well as "Star Class A" and Soundcheck privileges at the Anh Trai Say Hi concert 5. The event will take place on March 21, 2025, at Van Phuc City Urban Area (No. 375 National Highway 13, Hiep Binh Phuoc Ward, Thu Duc, Ho Chi Minh City). This promotion is available until March 16.

To experience the Super Yield account, activate the feature here.
