New 'Super Yield' account launched by VIB

Managing personal finances no longer requires in-depth investment knowledge. With banks like VIB leveraging cutting-edge technologies in digital banking, optimising idle funds has never been easier.

New 'Super Yield' account launched by VIB

Recognised as The Most Innovative Digital Bank in Vietnam in 2024 by Global Business Outlook, VIB has adopted the most cutting-edge technologies, such as AI, to gain insights into the habits and preferences of its customers. This has led to the introduction of the Super Yield Account, a game-changing solution designed with security, user-friendliness, and financial optimisation at its core.

Most customers hold their money in regular payment accounts for daily transactions. However, a large portion of this idle balance remains underutilised, earning just 0.1 per cent per year.

By contrast, VIB’s Super Yield Account offers an interest rate of up to 4.3 per cent per year, unlocking the potential of idle funds with a yield 43 times higher than a standard payment account. Thanks to its convenience, security, and high returns, tens of thousands of customers activated their Super Yield Accounts within just 48 hours of its launch on February 17.

Customers can upgrade their regular payment account to a Super Yield Account via a few small steps on the MyVIB app, with two standard threshold options of VND10 million ($395) and VND100 million ($3,950).

Unlike traditional fixed-term deposits, the Super Yield Account retains full liquidity. Customers can deposit, withdraw, and transfer funds anytime without affecting their earned interest, ensuring every transactional need is met.

As an active participant in the digital transformation of the banking sector, VIB applies state-of-the-art technologies to create smart and innovative financial services, facilitating customers to more easily manage cash flows and optimise profits.

Ho Van Long, VIB deputy CEO and head of Retail Banking, said, "The Super Yield account is a daring new initiative that brings the concept of optimising idle cash flows to all of our customers in Vietnam."

"It's more than simply just a new financial product. It is a call to action for each individual, business, and the wider community to unlock the power of finance, optimise capital, and shape a prosperous future," added Long.

While the Super Yield account promises the return of high yields, it also boasts an advanced technology platform that optimises the customer experience through a seamless and secure operation, from activation and yield tracking to cash flow management.

More than just a place to keep money, VIB's Super Yield Account allows users to maximise returns while maintaining full spending flexibility.

From now until March 31, customers who activate the Super Yield account feature on the MyVIB application can select a preferred payment account number worth up to VND15 million ($587) at no cost.

In addition, from now until March 16, by maintaining a balance of at least VND1 million ($39) in the Super Yield account, each customer will receive one lucky draw entry per day for a chance to win tickets to SKY LOUNGE, SVIP, FANZONE, GA3, and CAT2, as well as 'Star Class A' and Soundcheck privileges at the Anh Trai Say Hi concert 5, taking place on March 21, at Van Phuc City Urban Area (No.375, National Highway No.13, Hiep Binh Phuoc ward, Thu Duc city, Ho Chi Minh City).
