Viettel Post will establish a subsidiary in Guangxi Province, China, as part of its strategy to develop a cross-border logistics system for Việt Nam.

The transport company under Viettel Group plans to spend US$1.37 million in cash to set up the enterprise, without using loans.

The subsidiary will be named Viettel Post Logistics and Trading Co., Ltd. (Guangxi).

In April 2024, Viettel Post signed a memorandum of understanding with a delegation from Nanning, the capital of Guangxi Province, to collaborate on background research for the investment.

At the ceremony, Viettel Post general director Hoàng Trung Thành said that connecting with Guangxi is a key focus in the group's logistics development strategy.

On December 11, 2024, Viettel Post also inaugurated a Logistics Park in Lạng Sơn Province – the first of its kind in Việt Nam – which uses technology to reduce the customs clearance time between Việt Nam and China from around four days to under 24 hours.
