The signing ceremony took place on January 7, and was attended by Jaya Ratnam, Singapore’s Ambassador to Vietnam, and Robert Yap, executive chairman of YCH Group. The event signified a major milestone in creating opportunities for growth in Vietnam's transportation, logistics, and trade sectors, while also promoting international cooperation and contributing to sustainable economic development.

The MoU between Vietnam SuperPort™ and the Transport Development and Strategy Institute outlines the implementation of a national railway network development strategy to optimise the efficient transportation of goods to and from Vietnam SuperPort™.

This partnership will focus on studying the strategy of developing new railway lines and terminals connecting the port, with the aim of boosting logistics capacity and positioning Vietnam SuperPort™ as a key transshipment hub along the Lao Cai – Hanoi – Haiphong – Quang Ninh railway line. The initiative is expected to facilitate cost-effective movement of goods both within Vietnam and across borders.

In addition to the partnership with the Transport Development and Strategy Institute, Vietnam SuperPort™ also signed an MoU with China Railway 16th Bureau Group Vietnam Co., Ltd., which focuses on the construction of a rail cargo terminal at Vietnam SuperPort™ and the development of a railway line connecting Vietnam's national railway network.

The partnership aims to support cross-border logistics and the SuperPort’s multimodal approach, accelerating connectivity between Vietnam, China, and the ASEAN region. Vietnam SuperPort™ will offer integrated logistics solutions, including cargo handling, warehouse management, and multimodal transportation, which will enhance the efficiency and competitiveness of rail services.
