The new project, Aeon Mall Thanh Hoa, will take up 10.5 hectares in Quang Thanh Ward, 135km south of Hanoi.

This area is a developing large-scale residential area, and the future shopping center is only a 10-minute drive from the city center.

The mall is designed to have a floor area of 120,000 square meters and a leasable area of 52,000 square meters, costing a total investment of VND4,157 billion ($164 million).

Aeon Mall Thanh Hoa will be a modern, multifunctional, and comprehensive service and trade center upon completion.

Speaking at the ceremony, Do Minh Tuan, chairman of the Thanh Hoa administration, is highly appreciative of the project and considers it a bridge to promote the relationship between Vietnam and Japan.

The new mall is set to become a major attraction for both local residents and international visitors, enhancing the city and province’s appeal.

In addition to boosting tourism, the mall is expected to create jobs and contribute to state budget revenue.

According to Aeon Mall Vietnam, this 8th location will go beyond the traditional concept of a shopping center, offering a vibrant mix of shopping, dining, and entertainment to establish itself as a must-visit destination in Thanh Hoa.

The project is slated for completion in two years, with its opening scheduled for late 2026.

Aeon currently operates seven shopping centers in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong, Hue, and Binh Duong, with a total leasable floor area of about 462,000 square meters, according to VnExpress.
