Three 'Big Four' banks enter Top 5 largest companies on Việt Nam's stock market
Three of Việt Nam's 'Big Four' banks - Vietcombank (VCB), BIDV (BID) and VietinBank (CTG) - are currently ranked among the top five companies with the largest market capitalisation on the Vietnamese stock exchange.

According to data from the HCM City Stock Exchange (HoSE), Vietcombank remains the company with the highest market capitalisation. As of 11 am on October 10, VCB shares were trading at approximately VNĐ92,200, giving it a market capitalisation of around VNĐ515.3 trillion.
Since the beginning of the year, Vietcombank's share price has increased by 15.07 per cent, with the highest closing price recorded at VNĐ97,400 per share on February 28 and the lowest at VNĐ83,500 per share on January 2.
BIDV holds the second-largest market capitalisation on the Vietnamese stock market. By 11am. on October 10, BID shares were traded at around VNĐ49,450 per share, translating to a market capitalisation of approximately VNĐ281.9 trillion. BIDV's share price has risen by 14.06 per cent since the start of the year, peaking at VNĐ54,400 per share on March 5 and hitting a low of VNĐ43,000 per share on January 2.
VietinBank ranks fifth among the top companies by market capitalisation. As of 11am on October 10, CTG shares were priced at approximately VNĐ36,250 per share, with a market capitalisation of around VNĐ194.7 trillion. VietinBank's share price has surged by 33.76 per cent since the start of the year, reaching a high of VNĐ37,000 per share on September 27 and a low of VNĐ27,200 per share on January 2.
The strong performance of these major banks reflects the robust growth of Việt Nam's financial sector on the markets this year.
