Hanoi to host Vietnam-Asia Smart City Summit 2024

The summit aims to share best practices and promote cooperation among Vietnam's provinces and cities in building and developing smart cities.

The Vietnam-Asia Smart City Summit 2024, themed "Smart Cities - Digital Economy - Sustainable Development", will be hosted at the National Conference Center in Hanoi on December 2-3.

This information is outlined in Plan No. 309/KH-UBND issued by Hanoi's Deputy Chairman Ha Minh Hai regarding the organization of the conference.

The summit aims to share best practices and promote cooperation among Vietnam's provinces and cities in building and developing smart cities, as well as align digital transformation efforts among localities, enterprises, and organizations in the Asian region.

The event will provide an opportunity for companies to showcase digital technology goods and services that support the construction and growth of smart cities. It will also support the semiconductor and AI industries in the capital region and Hanoi.

The conference's main activities include the opening ceremony, the Vietnam Smart City Awards and the VietFuture Awards.

Additionally, the conference will feature specialized workshops covering topics such as Smart Cities: Data-Driven Governance and Management; Digital Solutions and Infrastructure for Sustained Economic Growth; Semiconductor Industry Strategy: New Momentum for Hanoi and Vietnam; Smart Homes for Health and Convenience; Green and Smart Mobility for Sustainable Urban Development; NetZero: Smart Environment and Energy Towards Emission-Free Cities; and Outstanding Technology Solutions for Smart, Green Cities.

Alongside the main events, there will also be exhibitions and business networking activities.
