New VIB promotion to ease 'end-of-year' financial strain
As consumers ramp up their expenditure ahead of the end-of-year festivities, VIB has launched a promotion to help its customers balance the family finances.
VIB's buy now, pay later (BNPL) promotion offers customers zero per cent interest and no fees for the first three months. Starting in April, new instalments are subject to a monthly fee of 0.4 per cent for 6 and 9-month terms and 0.8 per cent for 12 to 36-month terms.
With the easy and automatic registration method, customers need to register once, and this feature will apply until the customer performs the cancellation of the instalment conversion on the VIB website.
Households experience growing demand for household appliances in the autumn and winter, from pressure cookers to washing machines and dryers. These items are often expensive, but with VIB’s BNPL solution, customers only need to pay a few hundred thousand VND each month for these appliances.
VIB customers will have the opportunity to own these modern household necessities with discounts of as much as 45 per cent at LG.vn and 15 per cent discounts at Elextrolux.vn.
Besides family spending, customers also have a need to buy a new motorcycle or upgrade their smartphones occasionally, and every September, Apple, Samsung, Yamaha, and Honda roll out new products with attractive promotions.
Tech lovers who don’t want to miss the newly launched Galaxy Z Fold 6, Flip6, or the upcoming iPhone 16 can register through the BNPL service with VIB. Cardholders can save huge sums if they apply these promotions through VIB Shop, including a discount of over $20 on a bill worth between $32.50 – $122 on Shopee and Lazada, cashback up to $20.33 for a bill worth between $203 – $406 at Diamond Plaza.
VIB cardholders who purchase an iPhone16 between September 27 to December 31 can enjoy a discount of more than $60 at Hoang Ha Mobile and Digibox and a discount of over $80 at CellphoneS and Di Dong Viet, at participating stores and platforms.
Autumn and winter travel is an indispensable annual activity for many families. Each season brings a new destination. For some families, that could be in the cold mist of the Northwest region. Meanwhile, other families will travel overseas to admire the autumnal leaves in Japan or the Northern Lights in Iceland.
VIB offers the lowest interest rate on the consumer finance market, so cardholders also save up to 40 per cent on flight tickets, tours, and hotel rooms with VIB Travel offering incentives from more than 60 travel partners such as Traveloka, Klook, Booking.com, Trip.com, KtoursStory, Vietravel, Lua Viet Tours, Qatar Airways, and China Airlines.
The end of year festivities can see many women spend a lot on cosmetics, dentistry, and other beauty services. VIB cardholders can enjoy discounts up to 50 per cent from high-end cosmetic brands Kosé and Menard and healthcare services at Otis Dental, Peace Dental, Viet Nga Dental, Victoria Fitness, and La Bella Pilates.
In addition to the first-semester tuition fees that are usually collected in September and October, many parents will also be paying for foreign language courses and monthly tutoring at this time of year.
With a VIB credit card, cardholders can conveniently pay zero per cent instalments to divide their investments for their children at reputable language centres and education facilities such as Apollo, ILA, VUS, Direct English, The English Forum, Mathnasium Math School, Hanh Phuc Kindergarten system, and more.
Depending on one's spending needs during the last three months of the year, customers will find the card with the most benefits from VIB's ecosystem of 10 credit cards, including shopping (Cash Back, Super Card, Online Plus 2in1, LazCard), travel (Travel Élite, Premier Boundless), family, and education (Family Link, Ivy Card). Each card line has its own privileges for each spending category. Family Link offers a refund of up to 10 per cent for all education, health, and insurance expenses, easing parents’ burden when paying tuition for their children in instalments. Super Card flexibly refunds up to 15 per cent for shopping, travel, and dining expenses, while Cash Back refunds up to $975 per year for shopping, beauty, and dental expenses.
